Side-Eyeing Chloe & Her Family Then and Now (1979–2026)

One unforgettable side-eye turned two-year-old Chloe Clem into one of the most recognizable faces on the internet.

But behind the viral moment were her parents, Katie and David Clem, whose surprise Disneyland video changed their family’s life almost overnight.

This video follows Chloe and her parents from the original 2013 meme to the opportunities, attention, difficult decisions, and unexpected consequences that followed.

More than a decade later, Chloe has grown from the little girl in the car seat into a teenager with her own identity. Her mother has also spoken honestly about the opportunities the meme created - and the guilt of sharing her children online before they were old enough to understand what viral fame meant.

Millions knew Chloe’s expression. Few knew the family story behind it.
