Oct 12, 2026  #Data #Visuals

This dataset tracks the sociological evolution of the modern dating market over the last century. The data represents the Estimated Percentage (%) of US Women (Aged 25 - 45) who cited a specific behavioral or circumstantial category as an absolute "Dealbreaker" (a reason not to pursue a second date).

Because survey respondents typically select multiple overlapping factors when evaluating a partner, the aggregate percentages for any given year sum over 100%.

Primary data sources:
Gallup polling, the Kinsey Reports, the General Social Survey (GSS) and the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG). More recent trends are informed by Pew Research Center studies, Match’s Singles in America surveys and research on digital dating behavior.
