MONSTER FROM THE DEEP!
The wildest beasts stalk their prey until they are in striking distance. When the prey feels most safe, suddenly it is trapped, caught in jaws and teeth and claws that do not release.
A great fish such as this redtail catfish, Hemibagrus wyckioides, drags its victim to the bottom where it holds it fast until it drowns. Only then does the monster gulp its meal in 3 great swallows. It may not eat for another month, secure in the knowledge it is the greatest of hunters.
