DIY Royal Christmas Ornaments ✨ 3 Luxury Egg Decorations from Styrofoam

Transform a simple Styrofoam egg into 3 elegant royal Christmas ornaments ✨

In this DIY tutorial, I create three completely different handmade Christmas egg decorations from the same simple base, including two castle-inspired royal designs and an ornate pearl-and-Rococo creation.

You can use Styrofoam eggs like mine, or adapt the same technique to plastic ornaments or baubles. If you use plastic, apply a suitable primer first and let it dry completely before decorating.

✨ The technique:

• I create the raised decorative ornaments with air-dry clay and silicone molds.

• While the clay is still soft, I glue the molded pieces directly onto the egg with wood glue.

• Because the clay is still flexible, it naturally follows the curved shape of the egg and hardens directly on the surface while the glue dries.

• Once the clay is completely hardened and the glue is fully dry, I apply a primer over the raised decorations and let everything dry again.

• I then build the color with acrylic paints, working with different shades and highlighting the reliefs step by step, exactly as shown in the video.

• When the paint is completely dry, I add the final decorative elements, pearls, rhinestones and finishing details.
