Think Twice before taking Hasty Action

Jai Srimannarayana. Long ago there lived a farmer named Swamanna in a village. He made a small house closer to his farmland and was living with his wife. It being closer to the farmland, a little mongoose entered his house. Swamanna and his wife were impressed by that mongoose. It was growing up as part of their family and farmer's wife fed the mongoose with milk and fruits. It was growing up stronger and stronger year after year. After few years, Swamana's wife gave birth to a beautiful baby. They thought it's only because of that mongoose arrival they were blessed with that baby. Their happiness knew no bounds. Their affection towards that animal went on increasing. Few months passed in this way. One day, Swamana went to his field and his wife went out to get water. Mongoose became a caretaker of the baby. He started playing with the baby in different ways. Meanwhile, a cobra entered the room through a small hole in the door. It started climbing up the swing where the baby was lying. The mongoose saw the snake. It jumped onto the snake. Both of them fell on the ground. We know these two are enemies. After a great fight, mongoose killed the snake with its teeth. Its mouth and body were full of blood. The same day, Swamanna met his friend Bhimaya. In the middle of their discussion, the topic of mongoose came out. It's very dangerous to have a mongoose in the house where there are babies, said Bhimaya. We need not doubt our mongoose. It has been with us since it was a small baby, said Swamanna. How can you say there won't be any problem with that animal? If it is hungry, it may kill your baby. Be careful, said Bhimanna. So, Manna ignored his words and reached home. By the time his wife had not come yet, on hearing his master's words, Mongoose came running. It started licking his legs, moving around him, showing its love and affection towards his master. He saw Mongoose's body was full of blood. His friend's words were lingering in his mind. He thought that the animal must have done harm to his baby. as soon as the thought came to his mind he threw his axe at the animal it lost its life meanwhile his wife came with her pot of water from back door entered the room where the baby was lying she found the dead snake in pieces she came to the front room where she found the dead mongoose and her husband boiling with anger she imagined everything that had happened she cried bitterly My God, you killed our beloved mongoose who saved our baby's life from the snake. He went inside and found his baby playing. He cursed himself for his hasty action. Think twice before taking any action. Thank you. Jai Sri Mata.
