In this episode, the main character takes a one-week break from boat building and restoration work at the boatyard to share a two-day mushroom hunting and foraging adventure in the mountainous region northwest of Squamish, British Columbia.

Throughout the journey, the group encounters a massive black bear, treks through dense forests, crosses ravines, and discovers a large harvest of winter chanterelles, golden chanterelles, as well as an enormous mutated chanterelle mushroom (the "queen of chanterelles"). Finally, they set up camp, build a campfire, and cook sautéed mushrooms on toasted bread out in nature before heading back to the boatyard.
