Wonderland_ A miraculous Happening

Once there lived a couple, Manohar and Sravya. They were blessed with two daughters named Navya and Karuna. Navya was fair in complexion and Karuna was dark. They reached the age to get married. They being twins, Manohar wanted to perform marriage to both of them at a time. He invited many bachelors with their parents for lunch. All those bachelors were impressed by the beauty of Navya But no one showed willingness to marry Karuna It made Karuna depressed a lot As far as those sisters' activities are concerned Navya spent most of her time to enhance her beauty On the other hand, Karuna spent her time taking care of animals She had a dog, a cat and a bird as her pets These animals could not see her in sad mood The dog pulled her dress and was about to convey something, but Karuna did not understand her gestures. Why are you pulling my dress? said Karuna. When the bird showed the direction, the dog took her to a place. It was a strange place, looked like wonderland. She went inside and found a deer caught in a net and struggling to come out. Karuna sympathized with the deer and released it from the net. Thank you very much, Karuna. You move forward. Something good will happen to you, said the deer. My God! The deer is talking in human voice, Karuna said to herself. She moved forward. She found a beautiful swan whose beak was tied with a thin thread. Oh my beautiful swan! Who tied your beak in this way? Wait! I will remove it. Saying so, she removed it. The swan showed its gratitude and said in human voice, Dear Karuna, you are very kind. You move forward. God bless you, said the swan. She moved on and found a tree which was dried up. Oh my God, this tree was completely dried due to lack of water. I will save the tree. Saying so, she moved forward where she found a lake and also a pot. She filled the pot and watered the tree. To her surprise, the tree turned to a beautiful green tree. My dear Karuna, your name itself indicates your personification of compassion. You saved my life. You drowned in the same water thrice from where you brought this water to me. See the miracle that would happen to you. God bless you, said the tree. Karuna drowned in that water and came out. She could not believe her eyes. The color of her skin changed. Then she looked like a beautiful goddess. Feeling excited, she went home. Even her parents did not recognize her. Who are you, my dear girl? they asked. I am your very daughter, Karuna, said the girl. Then she narrated everything that had happened. Her parents' eyes were filled with joy. Then she married a handsome prince and led a very happy life. This story reveals inner beauty reflects on outer appearance. Be compassionate with all creatures.
