🚨 RUBIO AT THE ACROPOLIS: “THE HISTORY OF AMERICA... IS COVERED WITH THE FINGERPRINTS OF ANTIQUITY”

Standing before the Acropolis in Athens,
@SecRubio
delivered a sweeping defense of the Western civilization that traces its roots back to ancient Greece.

Rubio pointed to generations of Western statesmen, artists and philosophers inspired by Athens, declaring that the civilization born there was ultimately carried “to the ends of the earth.”

And he drew the connection directly to America:

“The history of America... is covered with the fingerprints of antiquity. Greece is literally carved into the architecture of our government.”

From one of the foundations of Western civilization, Rubio’s message was clear: the inheritance of the West still matters.
