Significance of Badrinath Kshethra

Badrinath Kshethra is considered as one among 108 Divyadesams to Srivaishnavites and situated near Himalayas. It is believed that Lord Narayana is worshipped by Devathas for 6 months when it is closed during winter season. Lighted flame glows all those six months without consuming even a bit of oil. Even in such a cold place like Badri water in the pond is very hot.
