Slow Art Session | Painting Wildflowers with Watercolour | No Talking
A slow wildflower painting session, creating a detailed composition inspired by knapweed, thistles and cornflowers.
This isn’t a tutorial or a planned illustration, just a larger-than-usual piece taking shape slowly. The flowers aren’t intended as exact botanical studies, so this isn’t quite botanical painting in the traditional sense. I’ve given them my own interpretation, using different colours and looser, more simplified shapes.
The painting is built up gradually with transparent layers of paint, keeping the shapes loose and the colours varied. There’s no step-by-step process to follow, just the flowers developing gradually as the piece takes shape. A quiet watercolour painting no talking session with no particular outcome in mind.
Thank you for spending some quiet drawing time with me.
