Belize is the only English speaking country in Central America, and it's so unique! In my opinion it's a bit of a hidden gem, with its neighbour Mexico receiving far more tourists, but many people don't know that Belize is filled with hidden Mayan ruins, lush rainforests, a huge coral reef and stunning islands in the Caribbean! The mix of people that make up the country, including Maya, Mestizo, Garifuna and Creole make it an even more interesting country to visit with a rich history, culture and food. In this episode I travel around Belize, visiting spots like Belize City, San Ignacio, Hopkins, Placencia and Toledo. By the end of this trip I am left amazed at how untouched this place is, and how much of a hidden gem it is!
