While Chairman Ji uses his power and wealth to manipulate the legal system and secure parole, Lee Han-shin operates as a double agent. He successfully navigates the corruption of the corporate world and the rigidity of the prison system to gain a position of power, ultimately intending to use his authority as a parole examiner to prevent the Chairman's release.
