See how Lorraine downsized from a 2,000 sq ft home to a 341 sq ft tiny house tour after 31 years of marriage.

After the end of a 31-year marriage, Lorraine found herself facing an entirely new chapter—and decided it was finally time to pursue the tiny home lifestyle she had dreamed about for years. She downsized from more than 2,000 square feet into a 341-square-foot home in the mountains of Alberta, creating a cozy retreat complete with a wood stove, bathtub, two lofts, and plenty of space for her beloved books. But living tiny gave Lorraine more than a smaller home; the slower pace and lower-maintenance lifestyle helped give her the freedom to pursue another longtime dream: opening her own bookstore. Now, surrounded by nature and a growing community, Lorraine’s story is a beautiful example of how downsizing can sometimes make room for an entirely new life.
