10 BIGGEST Excavators Ever Built — And You Didn't Even Know They Existed!

Discover the 10 biggest excavators ever built — colossal machines so enormous they look like moving buildings. From the 800-tonne Liebherr R 9800 and Hitachi EX8000-7 to the 1,650-tonne P&H 4800XPC, legendary Big Brutus, Silver Spade, Big Muskie, and Marion 6360 “The Captain,” these machines pushed excavation technology to unbelievable limits. We also explore the massive Bagger 288, famous for walking across a German autobahn, before reaching number one: Bagger 293. Weighing 14,200 tonnes and capable of moving 240,000 cubic meters of earth per day, it remains one of the most extraordinary land machines ever built.
