NC is changing math standards. Here’s what high school students will now take

The proposed mathematics standards maintain a four-credit graduation requirement while introducing greater flexibility. All students must complete revised NC Math 1 and 2, after which they can choose two additional courses from a rigorous pool of options tailored to their post-secondary interests, ensuring a strong foundation while allowing for specialized academic paths.
