River Road expansion complete in Sarasota County

The expansion of River Road in Sarasota County is now complete, increasing the road from two to six lanes between U.S. 41 and I-75. Funded by a $61 million partnership between the state and county, the project aims to reduce rush-hour congestion and provide a critical evacuation route for residents in southern coastal areas during hurricanes.
