Recorded for the "CLOSE TO YOU" album when Karen was 20 years old, the song was considered several times to be released as a single, but it never happened. This video was recorded in 1971 for the television series, "Make Your Own Kind of Music."

REASON TO BELIEVE
(words and music by Tim Hardin)

If I listened long enough to you
I could find a way to believe that it’s all true
Knowing that you lied straight faced
While I cried
And still I'd look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you
Makes it hard to live without somebody else
Someone like you
Makes it easy to give, never thinking of myself

If you took the time to change my mind
I could find a way to leave the past behind
Knowing that you lied straight faced
While I cried
And still I'd look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you
Makes it hard to live without somebody else
Someone like you
Makes it easy to give, never thinking of myself

If I listened long enough to you
I could find a way to believe that it’s all true
Knowing that you lied straight faced
While I cried
And still I'd look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you
Makes it hard to live without somebody else
Someone like you
Makes it easy to give, never thinking of myself.
