Originally from Umeå, Sweden - Jan is an enigmatic creator - unlike artists who evoke a sense of comfort, Jan’s photographs challenge viewers to confront their own emotions and ponder the underlying reasons for their impact. They leave us with unanswered questions, prompting us to grapple with the melancholic and nostalgic atmosphere of his art.

After completing his studies at the renowned Stockholm photography school under the guidance of Christer Strömholm, Jan chose not to pursue a career in photography. However, this passion rekindled during his retirement, leading him to relocate to Berlin.
