Step inside designer Sappho Griffin’s latest farmhouse-inspired project in Tantallon, Nova Scotia. A warm palette of ochre and plum, layered patterns and carefully chosen antiques transform a once-white, builder-basic space into a home packed with character. When the homeowners were struggling with decision fatigue and finding a way to inject personality into their space, Griffin’s answer was to embrace colour, pattern and texture throughout, while giving each area within the open-concept living, dining and kitchen its own identity. Favourite moments include a saturated deep-teal pantry, a colour-blocked wall treatment in the dining nook and a cozy, enveloping bedroom wrapped in Kelly Wearstler wallpaper.
