Chevy Chase community turns fallen tree into art

Residents of a Chevy Chase neighborhood have transformed a 250-year-old tree, struck by lightning last year in Lafayette Pointer Park, into a massive 15-foot bear sculpture. Funded by community donations, the artwork serves as a way to preserve a beloved local landmark and turn a loss into a creative community staple.
