The fox is eating a rat that succumbs to its unique predator-prey actions that safely surrender this smaller mammal animal. The foxes that live in this wild habitat love to catch and feed on the rodent population and other small mammals that they routinely hunt for nutritional food to maintain their natural diets. The fox hunts and dines on the waterbird species and songbirds that live along this riverbank; the fox can be seen regularly hunting for rodents alongside the heron bird that also live and capture the wildlife beside this river. The red fox is a carnivorous meat-eating canine mammal animal predator that hunts other animals when it is feeding and dining; they are carnivores with excellent hunting skills for catching a large variety of animals, including birds and other smaller mammal animals. Their keen eyesight and hearing help them achieve the necessary amount of successful pounce and attack animal prey hunts; although the red foxes are predators, they will occasionally eat different plants and fruit, and grains when foraging nutritional food to add to their predatorial meat-eater diets. A female red fox is known as a vixen, and a male red fox is known as a dog fox; a fox baby is known as a kit or cub.
