Deep in Alabama, there's a cave whose location is a secret — its name is a number, and only a handful of people have been inside.
Its ceiling is so low you can't stand, so close to your face that whatever is on it can't be taken in as a whole.
Then a team photographed every inch of it and rebuilt the chamber on a computer — and figures emerged that no living person had ever seen complete.
They were made over a thousand years ago by people who, by the cave's own geometry, could never have seen them either.
