DRUMSTICKS & Corn Ribs Over Open Fire | Swedish Outdoor Cooking

Today I’m cooking fire‑roasted chicken drumsticks with caramelized onion and corn over open flame on the Swedish coast.
The fire starts first — crackling, steady, setting the rhythm.
I season the chicken with dry spices, then lay sliced yellow onions in the bottom of the cast‑iron pot.
The drumsticks go on top, resting on the onions, slowly building color and aroma as the heat rises through the iron.
While the chicken cooks, I start caramelizing more onions over the fire — deep, sweet, golden.
Next, I split the corn and brush it with spiced butter before laying it on the grill grate.
The butter melts and smokes, coating the kernels in flavor and char.
Finally, I mix the dip: caramelized onion, crème fraîche, thyme, salt, and pepper — simple, rich, and smoky.
When everything is done, I plate it all on a wooden board by the water.
The chicken sits high, the corn stacked beside it, and the dip waiting in a black bowl.
It’s rustic, calm, and real — just food, fire, and the coastline.
No talking — just cooking, fire, and the rhythm of the Swedish outdoors.
If you enjoy outdoor cooking, ASMR food videos, or rustic recipes made over open flame, this one is for you.
