Bunaken Island, just off the coast of North Sulawesi, is often mentioned as one of Indonesia’s top diving destinations. After spending a few days here, we can see why.

From arriving in the dark after a long journey from Bali, to waking up to some of the most vibrant marine life we’ve ever seen, this small island completely surprised us. With crystal clear water, endless reefs, and more turtles than we could count, Bunaken feels untouched, simple, and full of life.
