U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan to the White House for a formal state arrival ceremony in Washington.

The ceremony includes senior U.S. and Chinese officials, including Vice President JD Vance, Usha Vance, Ivanka Trump, Politburo Standing Committee member Cai Qi and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Trump and Xi take part in the formal White House proceedings before watching a military review in the Rose Garden.

The White House said the ceremony featured 479 military personnel, performances by U.S. military ceremonial units and a flyover involving a B-2 Spirit bomber and four F-22 Raptors.

Xi's state visit comes as Washington and Beijing address major issues including trade, tariffs, artificial intelligence, rare-earth supplies and security, with the leaders also expected to discuss broader U.S.-China relations.
