Corn Silage Harvest! 3 Case IH 620 Quadtracs & Amity Crop Chasers

#farming #agriculture

Corn silage harvest is in full swing near Kerkhoven, Minnesota! In this video I spend the day with CY Harvesting as they chop corn silage for a local dairy farm.

In the field, a CLAAS Jaguar 990 self-propelled forage harvester is taking 16 rows of 22-inch corn at a time. Running alongside the chopper are three Case IH 620 Quadtrac tractors pulling Amity Crop Chaser carts. The Crop Chasers transfer the silage into trucks waiting at the end of the field for the approximately 1.5-mile haul back to the dairy.

Back at the dairy, there is even more action as five articulated John Deere tractors and a New Holland 4WD tractor work on the silage pile. Three of the John Deere tractors are equipped with front blades while two pull scraper boxes as they push, spread and pack the incoming corn silage.

This 34-minute video includes plenty of drone footage from both the field and dairy, ground-level action and some in-cab footage from the CLAAS Jaguar 990.

Thanks for riding along for another 2026 corn silage harvest!
