We took the Cosmos Pro S2 onto the court to test its touch, drops, dinks, resets, spin, power and overall playability. The result: predictable control at an attractive price, with one very noticeable trade-off.

✅ WHAT WE LIKED

The Cosmos has a consistent, straightforward, second-generation-paddle feel. Drops, dinks and resets felt particularly natural; controlling placement was the biggest strength in our testing. The face has a slightly firm feel, while the surface design and replacement-program offer add interest in this budget category.

⚠️ WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING

This is not a free-power paddle. Drives, counters and finishing shots demand more effort from the player. Our reviewer also noticed arm fatigue after about an hour of generating that power.

EdgeTech says its face grooves improve spin, but our testing did not find a dramatic spin advantage over other paddles in this price range. The titanium-carbon surface is marketed for added durability, although this video is not a long-term durability test.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Consider the Cosmos if your game is built around drops, dinks, precise placement and reliable resets—and you are comfortable generating your own pace. If easy power and explosive put-aways are your priorities, watch the power segment before deciding.
