Peepeekisis Cree Nation opens Saskatchewan's 1st band-owned funeral home

The Pepecasus Cree Nation has opened a new 10,000-square-foot funeral home in Loralee. Designed to provide culturally appropriate care, the facility replaces the need for community members to use school gyms for services, offering a dedicated, respectful space for grieving, healing, and traditional Indigenous practices.
