Illinois record: Plainfield man grows state's heaviest pumpkin ever

Phil Grunewald from Plainfield has grown a record-breaking giant pumpkin weighing 2,492.5 pounds, shattering the Illinois state record by nearly 350 pounds. The pumpkin was grown for the Bluegrass Championship weigh-off in Kentucky, where it currently stands as one of the heaviest in the country.
