How Chinese Developers Are Cracking The U.S.

How China is Building an Hackers Army
In 2024, the FBI reported that half of all U.S. cyberattacks on critical infrastructure originated from China-linked groups. Evidence suggests private companies may be collaborating with the Chinese government, aiming beyond economics toward military objectives.
Since the early 2000s, China has developed a vast cyber espionage program, including reforms in 200+ universities, state-backed hacking competitions, and regulations requiring firms to report vulnerabilities. In 2023–2024, over 12,000 intrusion attempts targeted U.S. networks, many mapping weaknesses for potential conflict.
Experts warn these operations threaten infrastructure globally. The FBI labels China’s cyber apparatus the largest worldwide, capable of crippling vital systems in wartime.
