Barcelona, Spain's most famous and lively city. Barcelona is located along the coast of
northeastern Spain and the locals here speak Catalan and Spanish. When I think of Barcelona,
I picture big paellas, whimsical architecture, beautiful beaches, wild nightlife, and laid-back
culture. Now it's time to put those expectations to the test and see if Barcelona is really worth
a visit. And I'm challenging myself to seeing as much of the city as possible in 24 hours.
All right, we've now arrived at La Boqueria and it's time to go find some breakfast.
La Boqueria is one of the oldest and most popular markets in the heart of the city. Make sure to get
here early to beat the crowds and soak in the ambience before the stalls start to lock up in
the afternoon. I'm absolutely starving right now and this place is an essential stop on any trip
in Barcelona. You can find everything in this market from fresh seafood to fruits to dried
meat and we're currently sitting in a tapas bar which tourists and locals can all sit together
at the counters and order some fresh foods that are made right in front of you. I ordered some
classic Spanish blood sausage, potatoes bravas, and some ham and cheese croquettes.
You could spend hours eating your way through this market but there is so much more to see here.
There is beautiful architecture around every corner and many of the highlights throughout
Barcelona were of course created by Antoni Gaudi, the legendary architect of the Sagrada Familia.
If you can book in advance, I highly recommend taking a tour of the Sagrada Familia with tower
access to truly experience the magnificence of this famous church. If you would rather opt for
a unique culinary experience over touring the architectural sites all day, I recommend taking
a paella cooking class. I took this class on a different day in Barcelona while searching for
the best paella in Spain and it was so much fun and the food was delicious.
After a long day in the sun, I've now made it to my favorite beach in Barcelona. It's called
Barceloneta. This is a nude beach but it is also one of those beaches where you can stay here for
as long as you want. The beach doesn't necessarily close and you can find people here at like 10,
11, 12 at night. I've got some snacks and it's time to go jump in the ocean.
Wow, this water feels so amazing. It is so warm. There's a beautiful sunset happening.
The giant W right behind me. This is beautiful. Swimming in the Mediterranean during the summer.
There's nothing else quite like it. We are now on La Rambla and we have a very special
dinner in store tonight. We're going to be seeing a flamenco show which I will tell you
more about but we're almost late for our reservation. Originating in the folklore of
southern Spain and inspired by the Andalusian gypsy culture, flamenco blends the art of song,
dance, and the best guitar playing in the entire world. Catching this live performance which
included dinner and wine was a fantastic experience but if you're up for something
even more exciting look no further than the largest stadium in Europe. And the very last
stop of this Barcelona tour is here at Camp Nou, the home of FC Barcelona for my very first
soccer game in Spain. Are you ready to see the action? The most number of human beings I've seen
in one place in my entire life. The way to end this amazing trip in Barcelona. Thank you for
watching this video. Let me know in the comments what city you think I should be reviewing next
and until next time let's push our limits.
