I Never Throw Away Candy Wrappers! I Made 33 Pairs of Resin Earrings Without a Mold!
DIY resin jewelry made from a candy wrapper! In this tutorial, I show you how to make handmade resin earrings without a mold using a simple candy/chocolate wrapper. ✨
Learn how to make resin earrings without a mold using two easy techniques: one with a disposable plastic cup and another using tape. I use UV resin, but you can also use epoxy resin for this DIY jewelry project.
I made 33 pairs of resin earrings from candy wrappers, and they all sold quickly! ♻️✨ This is a creative upcycling craft idea for anyone who loves handmade jewelry, DIY crafts, resin art, and jewelry making.
For this project, you can flatten the candy wrapper with an iron, but I wanted the original wrinkles and texture to remain visible. So, I did not iron it. Instead, I placed it inside a book to make it reasonably flat while keeping the texture.
Because UV resin may not cure properly when applied too thickly, apply the resin in thin layers and cure each layer before adding the next one. Building the piece gradually in several thin layers gives you a better result.
Materials: • Candy / chocolate wrapper • UV resin or epoxy resin • White paste pigment • Silver glitter • Earring posts
