Cobb County adds detection dogs to middle schools

The Cobb County school board has voted to expand its vapor wake canine detection program to include middle schools. This decision follows several safety incidents, including a middle school student bringing a loaded firearm with a drum clip to campus. The district will invest $1.2 million to acquire five additional dogs and hire five handlers to enhance student security.
