In this episode of RED Tech, Cleigh walks through the fundamentals of setting up a RED KOMODO-X and building an exposure strategy designed to get the most from the camera.

Starting with project settings, Cleigh covers sensor format, project time base, recording frame rate, recording format (R3D or ProRes) and R3D quality (HQ, MQ, LQ and ELQ). Then, he moves into exposure strategy, including ISO, dynamic range, RAW monitoring tools, false color and color temperature.

For filmmakers coming from another camera ecosystem, stepping up from Nikon ZR or picking up a RED for the first time, this is a practical introduction to the RED fundamentals for capturing the best possible image.
