He emphasizes that kindness does not require grand gestures but is found in small, everyday actions that collectively strengthen the social fabric and foster a supportive environment for all residents.
Hello, my name is Paul Ricard and I'm the town supervisor here in the town of Mount Hope.
And, you know, I just wanted to say a few words about kindness. And kindness doesn't have to be
a grand gesture. Kindness can be pretty simple. It can be just being nice to your neighbor,
which can be just simply saying hello. It can be a nice gesture like helping them if it snows by
maybe shoveling their sidewalk. It can be helping someone new to the community, maybe, you know,
telling them where they can get a vital service, such as where they can get help at town hall if
they need something. So kindness is really important. And again, it doesn't have to be
a big deal. It can be just the small little things and those small little things, they add up.
You know, one thing that I've learned as the town supervisor is that kindness helps build
the community. You know, a lot of times we think about our community is about, you know,
buildings, town hall or about our roads or about our parks. But community is really more than that.
It's about the people. And if the community is built on a foundation of kindness, it just makes
us all stronger. So kindness is really important. And I hope that everybody is kind to each other.
And again, it's the little gestures, it's the little things that all add up to big things.
So I hope everyone is kind to each other. And I hope that, you know, we work with each other
across all our communities that make Mount Hope such a great place to live.
