Loaded handgun found in student's backpack after hallway fight

A loaded handgun was found in the backpack of a 17-year-old Glasgow High School student Monday after a fight between two students in a school hallway, according to Delaware State Police.

Police said a school resource officer discovered the weapon after responding to the altercation. The officer and school staff broke up the fight and learned that one of the students had a gun.
