Close Encounters in Alaska's Ice-Cold Water

There are creatures living in Alaska's ice-cold water that most people never see. I went in to find them. A big shoutout to Southeast Scuba for the gear rental!

I'm Emerson — I snorkel the rivers, harbors and tide pools people walk right past, and I film whatever's underneath.

This dive is Amalga Harbor near Juneau, Alaska, in glacial-cold water, hunting the sea creatures hiding in the shallows. What I found was stranger than I expected: goliath king salmon cruising past me, hairy hermit crabs fighting over shells, limpets stronger than kevlar crabs taming sea anemoes, and some unexpected creatures that stopped me cold. Then, right at the end, something I still can't fully explain. No dive experience needed to enjoy this. Just bring your curiosity about what's under the surface.
