Leeds United 4-1 Newcastle United | Premier League highlights

Leeds United welcome Newcastle United to Elland Road in the second home Premier League game of the season. The two sides on the same points, a total of five, a win for either tonight could take them as high as third in the Premier League table. Plays it on to Tanaka, Leeds trying to get a bit of momentum going here now down the left side with Orkafor. Orkafor coming into the penalty area again, tees it up for Tanaka in the D. Tanaka shoots, it takes a deflection and it goes into the back of the net! Out Tanaka with a shot, it looped up and into the back of the net, with the goalkeeper rooted to his line, and Leeds United get a little bit of luck. But Elland Road celebrates the opening goal, Leeds 1-0 Newcastle. Double deflection and keeper, absolutely no chance. And it ends up nestled in the back of the net. Stir in possession, oh, it's a poor ball. Straight to Bogle, running down on the edge of the penalty area. To Stak, who turns it out to Justin. Players waiting in the middle, good ball in. Calvert-Lewin makes it hard down past the dive of the goalkeeper. And Leeds, from one up, have quickly doubled the advantage here. Wow, wow, wow, that is tremendous. Get it in the right areas, and Calvert-Lewin absolutely dominant. Now, Bogle. It's found its way into Calvert-Lewin. Calvert-Lewin comes inside, Calvert-Lewin! Sticks it into the back of the net for Leeds United. His second goal of the night, Leeds third. What a half of football this has been from Leeds United. Calvert-Lewin again, it's Leeds 3-0 Newcastle. What am I watching? Cuts inside his man, and finishes it really well. Ethan Ampadu into the penalty area. Comes out for... Orka four! Orka four with the volley! Leeds United, Dreamland, Leeds United four, Newcastle United nil. Controls that left foot, almost half-volley with the instep. Goes through, plenty of players, Ornatech, no chance. Through the middle, Barnes, there's a lot of space here. Barnes out to this right side, and Liveramento. Liveramento's cross into the middle, and there's a shot and there's a goal. It broke through the crowd, and it was fired home by Toure. And there you see James Joston, he flings his left leg at it. And I think that's what does James Trafford. And that is the last kick of the game. There it is, it's all over. It's been a fabulous night for Leeds United. 3-0 up at half-time, added another one in the second period. And a comprehensive victory over Newcastle, that sees Leeds climb to third place in the Premier League table. Early days it may be, but that will look very good. Fantastic win against Newcastle. It's finished here at Ellen Road. Leeds United four, Newcastle United one.
