AI GeneratedThis message encourages believers that their flaws, sins, and struggles do not disqualify them from being used by God. By examining the lives of biblical figures like Elijah and Peter, the speaker demonstrates that God calls imperfect people, knowing their weaknesses, and provides the grace necessary to overcome them through faith and repentance.

If God can use Peter, God for sure can use you.
Pay attention, because Peter was just an ordinary man.
As a matter of fact, you know one thing that the devil always loves to tell people?
He loves to always tell people and remind people of their sins and their faults and
their struggles.
But you know what the scripture says about the prophet Elijah?
This man prayed that it did not rain, for three years it didn't rain.
And then this man prayed three years later for God to send the rain, and God sent the
rain.
And this man, one day, he was in front of 450 false prophets, and they were having a
competition of who is the true God?
What God can bring down fire from heaven?
The 450 prophets prayed all day, nothing happened.
Elijah prayed one time, and God sent fire from heaven.
So he prayed no rain, prayed fire from heaven, prayed God sent the rain.
This man was supernaturally gifted and anointed by God, and do you know what the scripture
says about him?
The scripture says that he was a man of like passions, of like struggles.
Everything that you've gone through, fear, anxiety, depression, literally when you read
the story of Elijah, he went through all those things.
I mean one time, he went through depression and anxiety so bad, that he even abandoned
the ministry.
A man that prayed for it not to rain, and it didn't rain.
A man that prayed and fire was sent down from heaven.
A man that prayed for God to send the rain, and then he sent it.
That same man went through so much depression, so much anxiety, that he abandoned the ministry,
and he went and hid in a cave.
Don't believe the lies of the devil.
If God can use and fill Elijah, if God can use and fill Peter, God can use you.
Now let me talk to you about Peter.
Peter was a fisherman.
He was a normal dude.
Peter was a normal guy.
I mean the things that you go through, the things that humanity goes through, Peter went
through.
He had bills.
He had a family.
He had worries.
He had troubles.
He had fears, and God chose him.
And when Peter was following Jesus, Peter was a man that was always sticking his foot
in his mouth.
He was always saying things out of pocket, always saying things out of place, and God
was still patient with him, and Jesus was still teaching him.
And do you know something amazing that I never read about?
You might say, how is it amazing that you never read about it?
Because of this.
Something amazing that I never read about in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
is that Jesus was hanging around 12 dudes every day.
He knew the thoughts of all those dudes, and not one time did Jesus look at them and say,
ugh, how can you think those things?
Ugh, why are those things going through your mind?
Not one time.
And believe me, they were men just like anybody else.
They had thoughts just like anybody else.
They had intrusive thoughts just like anybody else.
They had fears and worries just like anybody else.
The devil tried to lie to them just like anybody else, and not one time do I read where Jesus
said, ugh, how can you be thinking those things?
Why am I saying that?
Because God calls you already knowing everything about you.
He's not going to call you and then reject you.
When he called you, God already thought everything through.
You need to understand this.
When God called you, he already thought everything through.
He knows who you are.
He knows your struggles.
He knows your battles.
And he still calls you.
Why?
Because greater is he who lives in us than the one in the world who is against us.
Because the scripture says, what is impossible for man is possible for God.
The reason that God called you is he's called you to do a new work in your life.
The scripture says, behold, all those who are in Christ are new creations.
All the old things have passed.
From here on forward, everything is made new.
Jesus wants to start a new work in your life.
What you need to do is keep walking by faith.
But let's keep talking a little bit about Peter.
You know, one day Peter was fishing, and he was fishing all night.
And then Jesus tells him something.
Peter, what did you catch?
He says, man, we didn't catch nothing.
Jesus tells Peter something that seems kind of ridiculous if you think about it.
Because Peter was a fisherman, and he had fished the whole lake.
He didn't catch anything.
Back in the day, they would fish with nets.
And he didn't catch anything.
And then Jesus tells him something that sounds ridiculous.
He says, well, throw your net to the other side of your boat.
You didn't catch nothing.
Throw your net to the other side.
He said, Jesus, because Peter was a fisherman.
He said, Jesus, we fished all night, and we didn't catch anything.
He says, but at your word, I'm going to do it.
In other words, this sounds ridiculous, don't make no sense.
But I'm going to listen to you.
Okay, I'm going to listen to you.
As soon as he threw the net, pay attention to this detail, please.
Because we can see how the efforts of mankind will avail to nothing.
But obedience and surrendering can lead to overflow blessing.
I want to ask you a question.
Do you want overflow blessing in your life?
Stop being like Peter.
Stop trying to do it in your own strength because that's going to avail to nothing.
I've seen that in my life.
I've tried to do it in my own life, too, and it availed to nothing.
But then listen, when Peter just obeys and surrenders, he throws a net to the other side.
The scripture says that he catches so much fish that he has to call other boats to come
and help him pick up the fish.
When he sees this, he can't believe it.
And when he sees this, he feels so much conviction, and he tells the Lord,
Lord, depart from me, for I am a sinner.
Peter was doubtful.
Peter didn't really believe.
Peter really didn't trust all the way, and he was always being shown by Jesus,
like, you can trust me.
Jesus was always showing Peter, you can trust me, Peter.
Let me show you another one.
One day, Jesus asked his disciples, who do people say I am?
And they say, well, some say you're a prophet.
Some say you're Elijah.
Some say you're a good man.
But Peter said, no, you are the Christ, the son of the living God.
Jesus looks at Peter and tells Peter, Peter, blessed are you, for no man has
shown you this, but my father who is in heaven has revealed this to you.
Peter feels all good.
Yeah, I get revelations from God.
I get revelations from the Holy Spirit.
God speaks to me.
I know who Jesus is.
Literally, the same Peter that was listening to the voice of God,
literally just a couple of days later, when Jesus is letting his disciples know,
hey, I'm going to be crucified, I'm going to go to Jerusalem,
and they're going to crucify me.
But don't worry, I'm going to resurrect on the third day.
That same Peter that was hearing the voice of God now is hearing the voice
of the devil.
The same Peter that obeyed the voice of God is now walking,
believing the lies of the devil.
And he tells Jesus, no, that's never going to happen.
I'm never going to allow that.
That's never going to happen.
It's never going to be so.
In other words, I'm not going to let you be crucified.
Jesus looked at Peter and said, get behind me, Satan, for you are being a
stumbling block to me, for you do not have the thoughts of God,
but you have the thoughts of man.
The same Peter that just a couple of weeks earlier had the thoughts of God,
God gave him revelation of Jesus, and now he's the same Peter that now is
being a stumbling block, doesn't have the thoughts of God,
but has the thoughts of man.
What is that?
Was Peter saved or not?
No, he was saved.
But this is showing you how the flesh, the sinful nature,
sometimes listens to the voice of the devil, and then this is showing you how
the spirit wants to listen to the voice of God.
This is showing you the battle between the flesh and the spirit.
Just because you see the battle between the flesh and the spirit,
the flesh wants to live in sin, man.
That's what the flesh wants to do.
Don't be so shocked that your flesh wants to live in sin.
Everybody's flesh wants to live in sin.
The Bible says it's impossible to please God in the flesh.
Everybody's, even your favorite preacher's flesh,
everybody's flesh wants to live in sin.
That's why the scripture tells us that we are born again,
we are made new in Jesus Christ.
But you're born again.
You have a new nature.
And now your new nature does not agree with your flesh.
And that's why there's a battle.
That's why there's a conflict.
And the devil tells you, look at you.
Look at everything you struggle with.
How can you say you love God?
No, don't believe those lies.
Don't believe those lies.
If God can use Peter, God can use you.
If God can use Elijah, God can use you.
Listen, this message today is for you to know
that when you see their battles,
when you see your struggles, when you see your failures,
when you go through the doubts,
when you go through the fears,
and you might even listen to the doubts,
and you might even listen to the fears,
you don't have to stay there.
God's not rejecting you.
That's normal.
That's a fruit of flesh.
But when you see those things, repent.
You don't have to stay there.
Repent, call out to God.
He will wash you, He will cleanse you.
And just like Peter, when he saw the catch of fish
and he said, Lord, forgive me.
For I'm a sinful man.
Ask God to forgive you, and He'll wash you and cleanse you.
And don't forget about the biggest one, Peter.
He denied Jesus three times.
After saying, I'm never gonna deny you,
he denied Him three times.
But again, what did Peter do?
He wept.
He wept bitterly, the Bible says, meaning he repented.
He repented of his sins.
And then what did God do a couple of days later?
About a month later, Peter preached
and over 3,000 people were saved.
How many times did Peter deny Jesus?
Three.
How many people were saved when Peter preached
on the day of Pentecost?
3,000.
I wanna tell you that the grace of God,
and this is very small number,
but this is just a minimum number.
The grace of God is 1,000 times greater
than any of your failures, any of your struggles.
Know that.
His grace and His mercy is greater
than any of your struggles, any of your failures.
God bless you.

to my Grown Faith, Grown Christ Christian Community.
This is a place where I'm discipling a group of believers
to develop a biblical mindset.
That's very important.
Why?
Because the scripture tells us,
do not be conformed to the ways of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind
so that you can know what the will of God is.
You see, in this life, we're gonna hear voices.
We're gonna hear the voice of God.
We're gonna hear the voice of the flesh.
We're gonna hear the voice of the world.
And many times it's difficult for people
to be able to decipher, what is, is that God?
Is that myself?
Is that the voice of the flesh?
Is that the voice of the world?
But the scripture says when our minds are renewed,
we're gonna be able to have a discernment.
We're gonna be able to know what the voice of God is.
Jesus said, my sheep hear my voice and they follow me.
And that's what I'm helping people to build
in this discipleship community, a biblical mindset.
