Hey, what's going on everybody?
Today I'm going to show you how to make baked doughnuts, my take on baked doughnuts.
Sort of just get rid of the fryer, get rid of all the saturated fats and the unhealthy
stuff and sort of just have a different spin on doughnuts.
The reason I really love this recipe is just because it's A, really simple, B, you don't
have to use, you know, two gallons of oil to fry anything, and C, just because they're
doughnuts.
It still tastes like a doughnut.
I love the texture and just the different sort of flavor of this baked doughnut as opposed
to a fried doughnut.
Which I love fried doughnuts, but sometimes it gets a little crazy with fats and unhealthiness.
Hopefully you guys enjoy this recipe and let's get into the kitchen and make them.
So the first thing you want to do is get all your ingredients together, which are flour,
sugar, salt, baking powder, one egg, butter, and some vanilla extract.
Once you have all your ingredients squared away, add your butter and sugar and start
creaming for about five minutes on low speed.
Now as it's mixing, add your vanilla extract, one egg, and your baking powder and give it
a good scrape down in between all this just so it mixes beautifully.
Next, turn your mixer off as you add your flour, otherwise it's just going to get everywhere
in your kitchen.
Once you're done adding your flour, turn it back on medium speed and mix continuously
for five minutes until the ingredients are completely incorporated.
Once the flour is all mixed in, start adding your milk and continue mixing for five minutes
or until completely smooth.
Once your batter is ready to go, just put it in a piping bag and start piping into your
molds or onto a sheet tray.
You can make little squares if you don't have these little molds, but if you do, they actually
come out quite nice and look exactly like doughnuts.
Now you're going to want to bake these doughnuts at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10-15
minutes.
Once they've cooled off, just toss these bad boys in some powdered sugar and you guys have
a beautiful, easy, delicious morning pastry that you guys can call your own and have with
some tea or coffee.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed this video and I'll see you guys next time.
