Furka Pass – One of the Alps’ Most Spectacular Roads The Furka Pass is one of the most spectacular mountain roads in the Swiss Alps. Connecting the cantons of Valais and Uri, the road climbs to an altitude of 2,429 metres and offers breathtaking views at almost every turn. The drive is a true Alpine experience – countless hairpin bends, steep mountain slopes and dramatic landscapes make the Furka Pass a favourite among drivers, cyclists and motorcyclists. One of its most famous landmarks is the Rhone Glacier, once easily visible from the road. The pass is also known for the legendary James Bond scene from Goldfinger, filmed here in 1964.
