AI GeneratedThe stock market is experiencing volatility driven by high inflation and anticipated interest rate hikes by the Fed. While the overall market dip was slight, there are significant sector rotations, with energy and banking gaining while healthcare declines. The speaker advises moving capital into assets like gold and energy to hedge against inflation and rising rates.
Here's your Plus Stock Market update as again we have a choppy week. Market overall fell just 0.6
but if you look through the week you'll see that there was massive moves in the stock market
and massive moves from some particular sectors into other sectors. So let's have a look at what's
working. Energy for example up 8% over the week, same time you saw healthcare actually fall off
for a sector of 3% for the week. So what's driving the markets? Well again you'll see
Donald Trump just behind me and of course he's promised that everybody in America will receive
$5,000 if he wins the midterms. Is he going to win it? Polls say that he's not going to win the
midterms. But what's really driving the markets right now? Well first of all you've got inflation
coming in much higher than expected and you've got the same type of thing happening in Europe.
Right now you'll see inflation is over 3%. Fed meet on Wednesday, what are they going to do? Well
90% of experts believe that the Fed's going to increase interest rates. In fact it would be more
dangerous if they didn't increase interest rates. Why? Well if they cut it off early, if they move
to increase interest rates now they stop a bigger spike coming before the end of the year. So
everybody believes the Fed's going to be increasing and it's priced already into the market. So don't
think, don't invest until you find out what the Fed's doing. It's priced in. So what's winning?
You'll see the energy costs we know they're soaring. Energy stock we know they increased last
week but there's more to go. Why is there more to go? Well if you look at what's happening with AI
you'll know that the biggest shortage is likely to be energy. So we've been talking about it regularly
on this video channel. Subscribe to get good information because you'd have made money if you'd
have followed what we've been talking about. Energy stock have got further to go, no question about it.
We live in the market whereby interest rates go up, that's good for the banking industry. So again
just look at the particular areas that gain. Whether it's Europe or whether it's America, the banking
sector they end up with bigger margins as long as they don't end up with massive debts. No sign of
that right now but right now we're seeing a market that is driven by people looking at what the Fed
are doing and what's happening with inflation. Of course we look at what's happened and we've seen
this price, this spike in oil prices. Is that going to continue? Well even Donald Trump
says it's not going to change until after the midterms. In other words it looks like we're stuck
with higher for longer. That means that you've got diesel in America over $8. So in other words
we've come into this year expecting the Fed to cut interest rates. We're now in a market whereby
they're expecting them to increase potentially twice this year and next year increase again
another two three times. But it's priced in, so in other words don't put your money in a bank account.
You've got to be in assets. Assets are going to increase. So just simple. Gold's going to continue
to go up. Particular stock gain energy I've already mentioned but there are other sectors
that gain like banking because of what's happening in the markets, in the economy globally right now.
It's important. Review your portfolio. Always talk to a financial advisor but don't think that it's
not a fast changing world. I think we all know it is. That's why everybody needs a consistent
and a regular review of investments.
