Suicide rates are gradually falling in the EU, but men are still more drastically affected than women

Recent Eurostat data indicates a slight decline in suicide rates across the EU, with 48,000 deaths recorded in 2023. The standardized death rate dropped to 10.4 per 100,000 people.
