If you live somewhere with cold winters, now is the time to get your garlic planted! 🧄🌱

And the best part? You don’t need a big garden, a greenhouse or even a proper garden bed to grow your own garlic. In this video we’re planting garlic in containers, buckets and even window boxes — proving once again that you can grow a surprising amount of food in a very small space.

Garlic is one of those wonderfully easy crops that really doesn’t ask for much. Pop the cloves into some decent compost, give them a sunny spot and let winter do its thing. Garlic actually likes a period of cold, which helps it develop those lovely bulbs for harvesting next year. It’s also wonderfully winter hardy, making it a brilliant crop for colder climates.

Whether you have a tiny garden, a backyard, a patio, or you're growing vegetables on a balcony, there’s a way to fit garlic in. And once you get it planted, there really isn’t much to do while it quietly gets on with growing through the winter.
