‘The Q2 lap was amazing’ – Colapinto ‘very happy’ after taking P9 in Qualifying

Franco, great effort to get into Q3 there. You must be pretty happy with that display today. Yes, very happy. Very happy, very proud of the team. Everyone has done an amazing job. Personally, we're excited for the next few races. I think, generally, we lacked a little bit of pace, especially compared to Monza. Of course, what we lacked here was always going to be a more difficult track for us, and we struggled more since the start. Aries and Audis looked really, really strong, but we managed to be in front of them again. Very positive day. Personally, very happy and proud. Very good qualification. Every lap, I was improving and finding a little bit more pace out there. So happy. Of course, we need to keep working for tomorrow. It's going to be a long race, but I trust that we can follow through. Does it feel like you're growing in confidence all the time, and how do you approach tomorrow's race? Yes, I think my confidence is growing, of course. To do a lap like that in Q2, especially the Q2 lap, was amazing. To do a Q2 lap like that in a street track like this, like the one here in Madrid, that puts the drivers and the cars to a limit, it is really tricky. It means that I have a lot of confidence. I'm happy with the pace of the car this weekend and with the feeling I'm having.
