Alexandra from the \"Studio Fix\" series transforms Jada's small studio into a sophisticated, youthful sanctuary. By implementing a layout overhaul, strategic storage, and a muted pink and brown color palette, the design balances Jada's professional life as a social worker with her need for a peaceful, organized home that feels both \"young and adult.\"
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
I'm Alexandra, and you are watching Studio Fix,
the series where I tackle teeny tiny apartments
under 500 square feet and show you
how to make them beautiful, stylish, and organized.
He's clapping, he's clapping, he's clapping.
It's a little crooked.
Whoa!
I just think it's so funny that I'm doing this in my skirt.
I look so proud.
Oh!
Stunning.
You got a makeover to do, so.
Wait, what?
I don't recognize it.
Oh my God!
Let's get started.
I am so excited to makeover Jada's studio apartment today.
It's a small space, but there's a lot to accomplish.
So let's hop on a call with her
to get to know her and the space.
So nice to meet you.
Congrats for winning a Studio Fix makeover.
Thank you.
It feels like a dream.
Like when I submitted it,
I thought it's like a shot in the dark.
So such an amazing surprise.
I'm really excited for you.
I feel like your studio has so much potential.
I really just want to get to know the space
and how you're currently using it.
So I've lived in the city for like five or six years now,
but I've moved more than 10 times.
So yeah, it's exhausting.
So this is sort of my first space
that really feels permanent.
It's a really great space.
Like the bones are great, but in terms of the bedroom,
I was really having a hard time deciding where to put it.
Did you ever consider putting it
on the other side of the room?
And if not, are you open to a layout switch like that?
As long as, you know, I have all the elements
that I need and want,
then I'm more than happy to change it up.
Okay, great.
The biggest sort of component
is like keeping it sort of separate from the kitchen.
So I'm not necessarily staring at the kitchen
and feeling like I'm in that space when I'm cozy.
Okay.
I never host more than like three people at a time,
but I really do like the option
to have just enough seating for that many people.
My mom lives out of the city
and she sometimes comes to visit me.
So one thing that's really important
is having some sort of like sleeper sofa solution.
And other than that, it is, you know,
me and my cat's sanctuary
and just place to rest after a busy day at the office, so.
What do you do for work?
I'm a registered social worker
and I work as a caseworker in supportive housing.
Such an important job.
Like amazing that you're doing that.
Like it can be intense work,
but it's also really gratifying
and I love like the community that I get to work with.
And yeah, but I also love my downtime and my alone time.
So being at home is like
a really peaceful experience for me.
You have a TV it looks like.
Are we keeping that?
Are we incorporating it into the layout?
It would be nice to keep it.
I do have a wall mount.
So we could do something like that
cause I haven't utilized a lot of the vertical space
in my unit.
Okay, that sounds great.
Talk me through the other side of the living room area.
You have what I think is maybe your closet space
on the other side?
Yeah, it's not a huge deal, but it is kind of annoying
because you have to get up on the step stool
to access the closet.
It isn't the best.
So, you know, maybe incorporating closed storage
so I don't have to always be climbing up into my closet
to get my clothes every single day.
Okay, got it.
I've put a star beside the closets.
I'm like, I don't know what we're gonna,
we've never encountered this.
You win some, you lose some
because the space is so great otherwise
but that is definitely a strange feature for sure.
With the entryway, there's kind of that built in
shelving unit, I guess.
I love the shoe storage.
Having something like that in a small apartment
is like a game changer.
But it might be nice to have like a little catch all space.
Okay.
The hutch sort of cabinet thing.
What it is, is a litter box enclosure.
So that's definitely something that's not working.
I definitely think you're right.
It's taking up a lot of visual space
but a lot of like floor and wall space.
I think we can find something more compact
but that's like hidden.
Walk me through your inspo.
It's giving me like cool girl, like just relaxing, chill
but still very filled with personality.
I want my space to feel young, but also adult.
I chose these photos based off of feeling
and also just sort of the phase of life that I'm in
and want to continue to grow into.
Okay, love that.
If we were to paint the walls
which I kind of think we should,
what are the colors you're like really drawn to right now?
Something that is like almost a neutral
but not quite a neutral.
Verging on a pink would be kind of cool.
Okay, amazing.
I feel like I really understand the vision
and I'm so honored that I get to make this space
feel comfy and cozy for you.
Yeah, so excited.
And it definitely came at a time where like
I needed a blessing.
So it is very much appreciated.
Oh, that's the best.
I'm so happy to hear that.
I'll meet you in person on our field day.
Okay, amazing.
Well, thank you so much.
I'm so excited.
Bye.
Jada is 23 and she has moved over 10 times.
It's a lot of moving, a lot of schlepping.
And she's finally found this apartment
where she feels like it's a little bit more permanent.
She wants to put down roots here.
And I just feel really honored
that I can make her dream cute space come to life.
So Jada wants a space that feels grown up
but youthful at the same time.
And her inspo is really giving me that.
She loves pink, but the color on the walls
in her inspo images is almost skewing
like a muted brown with pink undertones.
It's warm and it's inviting and it's really cozy.
And then sprinkled throughout her inspo,
she's got these really playful pops of decor.
And that's what's keeping this space
feeling like young and fresh.
It's this perfect balance between cozy and homey
but still playful at the same time.
So here's what I'm thinking.
So Jada wants like a dusty kind of muted pink on the walls
which I love.
You guys usually know that I would paint out the trim
and the closet doors, either the same color
or a different fun pop of color.
But the landlord has requested we don't touch the trim
or the doors or the kitchen cabinet.
So all of those things are off limits.
This color gives Jada that hit of pink
but it's still sophisticated.
It has brown undertones.
It's really warm and it's neutral enough
to keep the landlord happy.
I am doing a fun, brighter pink accent
in this kind of built-in shelf moment in the entryway.
I'm going to keep this as storage for all of Jada's shoes
and a couple other entryway necessities.
I think it's perfect to have in this tiny little entryway.
The kitchen cabinets are actually in great condition
and we can't change them anyway
but I do want to zhuzh the kitchen up a little bit
with some keel and stick tile.
I think this would be a great place to add a hit of green,
a color that Jada really loves.
I need to fill this space with storage for Jada.
So I want to bring in a new island
filled with lots of closed storage.
I want to give her a pantry beside the kitchen area,
a media unit with tons more storage.
She can put clothes in here.
She can put just like anything really,
just extra, extra storage for her.
I also want to give her a coffee table that folds up,
a place where she can eat dinner,
a place where she can do work,
just a place for her to have like a multi-purpose surface.
I need to give Jada a really big layout change.
Right now, her bed is beside the kitchen.
It's kind of shoved into a corner
and give her some sort of flow within the space.
I'm bringing in that playfulness Jada wants
through accessories.
So fun cushions and wall art.
These are easy things she can change
as she evolves with the space.

My friends from J. Davis Painting
are painting out Jada's entire studio.
The thing I love most about J. Davis Painting
is how much time and care they put into the prep work.
They do so much patching, so much sanding
to get the walls in great shape for the paint.
We've worked with so many of their team members
and they are all so lovely
and the company describes themselves
as a five-star company in a two-star industry
and I really could not agree more.
You will get all the support,
all your questions answered before your space is painted
and they just make it really easy.
So you can just sit back and watch your space
be transformed like so professionally.
The team is painting out the walls
in studio hours by backdrop.
For this little built-in accent moment,
we're going with 36 hours in Marrakesh also by backdrop.
I know that spring is here, summer is around the corner.
The J. Davis Painting team does exterior and interior,
so a great time if you are looking to have
the exterior of your space refreshed.
Hi guys, okay, we're at Jada's
and the wall color looks so, so good.
This color studio hours is like exactly
what Jada had asked for.
She asked for a really muted pink with brown undertones
and I think we nailed it.
Graham and I are starting the day
by putting some peel and stick backsplash
on top of this outdated tile
and it's from Smart Tiles, which I love, you guys know.
Let's do it.
We are starting by cleaning
all of the backsplash with alcohol.
This is a really important step,
especially when you're putting up tile in a kitchen.
There's grease, there's grime, things you cannot see
and if you don't clean it, all of that grease and grime
is going to prevent the tiles from sticking.
The Smart Tile has made this look like real Zalizh tile
with like the organic grout lines, like nothing's uniform.
I love it.
So we're going to start left to right.
The process here is really easy.
You just follow where it says to overlap
and keep sticking them down.
We are now making cuts for the top row.
You can totally use scissors,
but we find that a utility knife and like a straight edge,
like a ruler, will give you like a really crisp, clean cut.
With these tiles, we're finding it easier
to measure and then cut.
When you see me hanging wallpaper,
we always hang it and then cut,
but being able to cut the tiles on a surface
rather than the wall is making it possible
for us to have a really even and clean cut.
Okay, you guys, the tile looks so, so, so good
and that was relatively painless, I would say.
A really great, like easy Saturday afternoon project.
I was going to say weekend project,
but you could definitely do this on a Saturday afternoon.
To complete this little kitchenette even more,
I'm adding some beautiful plank hardware.
We've used planks so many times.
Their hardware is just such amazing quality.
I'm going like this, cause it's like, they're hefty.
So we're going to put these on.
Look, they come with little screws wrapped up.
Your components.
So cute.
I want to give you guys a little tip here.
If you're replacing poles,
you want to make sure you're measuring the distance
between screw holes,
if you don't want to like patch
and repaint your cabinet fronts.
And we definitely could not do that with these
cause these are wood.
So yeah, just measure twice.
Order once.
Stunning.
Look at how much that elevates that cabinet front.
It really can't meet?
It really does.
You can probably just use the same screws, no?
Okay, so I was thinking that.
Yeah.
And then.
I was thinking that.
So?
I was thinking that.
Great minds think alike.
Should be the same or no?
See like, why are like handles,
the thread of handles like universal,
but like, like why is this universal
and not like everything else in society?
This looks so, so, so good.
And just with these two changes,
we've like completely elevated this kitchen, I feel like.
Okay, I'm going to move the appliances back
and then we're going to get building some furniture
for this little nook.
Okay, this island, the island that does it all
is from Wayfair.
I've actually rounded up a whole storefront of Wayfair finds
specifically for small spaces that I love.
That link is down in the description box.
Don't let that screw fall, please.
Get it in the hole.
Okay, but like, I'm sweating.
You're staring at me.
It's like, it's not helpful in any way, shape or form.
That screw falls.
Graham, stop.
Oh, f*** me.
I saw it happen before it happened.
It was like, I could see the future.
I just dropped a screw.
Oh, I heard.
Okay, so this has so much storage at the front
and it doubles as a place for Jada to eat.
So this lifts up.
So great.
We have stools and this also turns
into such a bigger prep space for her, which I love.
Okay, Graham, do you want to do the fridge open test?
And then the oven.
Nice.
I would say that that was some of our best teamwork.
That's good.
It's because I was the dealer dealing out the hardware.
And I was using the drill.
Yeah.
Okay, that's it from us today.
We accomplished a lot.
This kitchen looks brand new.
I am going to be swagging a light over this kitchen island,
which I think is going to look really good
and like define the kitchen space.
But I need to figure out placement
of some of the living room furniture.
So we'll probably tackle that tomorrow.
Until then, I will see you guys tomorrow.
Bye.
Hey guys, I'm so excited for today
because a lot of the big furniture pieces are coming in.
So it's going to start to resemble a studio more,
which is the goal we're making over the studio.
Okay, today I'm going to stay on this side of the space
and I'm going to tackle the living room first.
That's going to help me get this position of light
that's going to swag into the kitchen.
So yeah, just have to figure out placement
starting with a media unit.
Oh, I can't with that.
I cannot.
There's no way.
Okay, Elena, get in there, please.
Okay, and Elena, actually.
I'm taking up a new hobby.
Power lifting.
You wish.
Anyways, does anyone want to know my hobby?
Okay, one, two, three.
Noted.
This beautiful media unit is from Article.
I feel like this is going to be such
a timeless piece for Jada.
Do you want to know my hobby?
Yes.
Beading.
That's great.
Happy for you.
I thought you'd be really excited
and you'd ask for a custom necklace or something.
Yes, please.
Bracelet.
Bracelet, okay.
I'll be collecting beads starting very soon.
Wow, perfect fit.
I want to show you guys how much storage
we're giving Jada with this.
Six shelves of storage.
And deep, too.
If you live in a studio and need more storage,
I find a really clever way to bring in that extra storage
is with a media unit with closed doors.
It's just a great place to tuck anything
from clothing to art supplies to stationary, whatever.
Just a way behind doors.
Okay, rug rollout time.
Now, this rug is quite big
because it's also going to be the bedroom rug.
You'll see it all come together at the end,
so just trust the process.
But this rug is from Lalloy
and it's by Jeremiah Brent, aka my crush.
I love Queer Eye, I love him,
and I'm really excited to roll this out.
Okay.
Please don't hit me again.
Please don't hit you.
I'll try.
It's so, so beautiful.
Jada requested a sleeper sofa
and this one's from Article.
I love it, it's so comfortable.
We've used it before.
Okay, I'm really starting to see the flow.
It feels very cozy.
The island, I think this is gonna be its final position.
Lift up so she can dine here, which is so great.
I'm really liking how it's all coming together.
Okay, let's open the bed.
Sofa beds are not what they used to be.
Watch how easy this is to fold out.
Look, it just glides in.
Blows my mind every time.
So comfy.
I feel like this space feels so much bigger
with the furniture in it.
Hi, reporting live on the weather in Toronto.
I think last time you saw me report about the weather,
it was hailing.
Snowing, it was like ice rain.
Sleeting.
Well, now it's thunderstorming.
I love a good thunderstorm.
I can't wait to deal with all the soggy cardboard
in the back of the truck later.
Oh, f***.
Okay, well, let's hang some curtains.
They're not curtains.
Okay, let's hang some shades.
Looking at you because you've been-
No shade.
Because you've been throwing shade at me all day.
She's throwing shade right now.
These are from Kurtara,
and I'm so excited about this beautiful pattern.
Love a stripe.
Okay, I'm putting a matching one behind the sofa.
This is the bedroom area.
Those look so cute.
Love it.
Okay, so to anchor this media unit,
I'm gonna hang Jada's TV on the wall.
I always like these TV mounts that swivel
because in a small space,
like she can turn the TV
if she's in the kitchen making dinner.
She can pull the TV out if she wants it closer to her.
It just gives her more versatility.
So let's hang it.
So my favorite tricks that we do on makeovers
is when we have a cord hanging down like this,
I love to cord cover it
and paint the cord cover the same color as the wall
so it just blends in.
So I have a long cord cover.
I'm gonna cut it.
So all you do is just like pop the cord
into the cover like this.
This is a really important step.
You wanna make sure that it's level before you stick it.
So I've taken the adhesive back off.
Sticky.
Cord covers make such a difference.
It just makes everything look cleaner, I find.
Okay, so because I moved the island here,
it was originally living here,
this gave me more space for closed storage.
I just wanted to give Jada
as much closed storage as possible.
I feel like in a studio, you can never have too much.
So yeah, this is from Ikea.
It's really, really cute.
We're gonna attach it to the wall.
I just wanted to get the placement right.
And I'm gonna add some height with an art print.
That's later on.
Okay, I'm moving on to lighting.
I'm hanging this beautiful semi-flush mount from Mitzi.
Flush mounts and semi-flush mounts
are really great for like entryways or small bathrooms
where you can't have like a large pendant.
And my thought here is I wanna do varying heights of light.
There's three key lights in this space.
So I'm starting with one closer to the ceiling.
This one looks like a cute little beehive to me.
Really cute.
Now I'm gonna move on to the living room light.
Okay, so I put a lower profile light in the kitchen
because I'm wowing in this room with a really big pendant.
I never understand why builders, landlords, whoever
put pendants like in the most random places.
So if you were sitting in your living room
or bedroom or wherever,
and you're looking up at your lights
and you're like, yeah,
that's such a random place for a light.
My trick is to swag a light.
So I just buy a cord kit from Ikea.
I get one of these.
This shade specifically is from Etsy.
It's like a linen fabric,
but there's lots of different alternatives to these.
And we're gonna center this pendant to the room.
Also lighting just like really helps divide a space.
So it's like, that's the kitchen.
This is the living room.
That's gonna be the bedroom.
Right now, this is not helping us divide a space.
It's like, where are we?
Okay, so we've got our hook in the ceiling.
Oh, I'm gonna be blocked by this light.
This now just says like, okay, this is the living room,
which is what we want.
Light dividing the spaces.
This looks so good and like impactful.
Okay, I'm splitting the difference.
I'm hanging a bit of a lower chandelier here.
This is from Mitzi.
I love the cute flower details.
Any light that's flower shaped from Mitzi,
I'm like, I need that in my cart immediately.
Okay, that's it for me today.
We are gonna go home, get some rest.
And then tomorrow,
we're gonna pull her bedroom area together.
So excited.
See you then.
One of the most favorite parts of my job
is working with virtual makeover clients.
I work with a handful every single month
to make their dream spaces come to life.
And one of those clients could be you.
All you do is purchase a package through my website,
alexandergator.com.
And then we jump on a 30 minute call together.
I get to know you, I get to know your space,
what your hopes and dreams are for it.
And then we create the most beautiful,
customized, thorough package for you
that includes everything you need
to make your dream space come to life.
That includes a floor plan, a 3D mood board,
paint color suggestions,
and a ton of products that you can shop
right from the package to make your space come to life.
You guys, it's warm outside.
It's given me like a new lease on life.
I feel like I wanna make over my entire space
top to bottom, just like start fresh.
If this sounds like you, we have limited spots available
and you can just head to my website to purchase now.
Good morning, everyone.
It's looking so good in here.
I'm so excited to keep going.
We're really gonna tackle the bedroom today,
but first I need to finish off one missing piece
in the living room, which is a coffee table.
So there's not room for a dining table in this studio,
but we did add the island that folds up.
We're gonna add stools there
so Jada can sit at the little island.
I also wanted to give her another option.
So this coffee table is from Wayfair Canada
and it's a lift top so she can work, she can eat.
I just love these tables.
I think they're so great for small spaces
and this one also has a ton of storage in here too.
Okay, we're gonna shift our focus to the bedroom.
If you guys remember, Jada's bed was here
and her living room was over there,
but I'm putting the bed, putting the bed over there.
So let's head that way.
We're building this bed from Article.
This is the same bed I have,
except I have it in a lighter color.
Had it for years.
So sturdy, I love it.
I'm not gonna follow the instructions.
So let's get building.
Ask what you've done with those celery leaves.
I was just kind of going for it.
I'm guessing that's not the right place.
That's crazy.
Just putting things where they look like they might go.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, just because you sleep in it
doesn't mean you know how to assemble it.
I wouldn't expect that from anyone.
But I did do the brackets right.
You did.
Thanks.
Yeah.
What?
You did it wrong.
Yeah, was I?
Oh, wow.
He did it wrong.
Okay, now let's move the sofa back.
I'm bringing the sofa back.
Yeah.
So in my floor plan, I had the bed and the sofa touching,
but this feels weird because the rag's there,
so she can't get around to the other side.
It just doesn't, it's not flowing.
The good news is we have room,
so we can move the sofa forward.
That'll also allow her to be closer to the TV
when she's sitting on the sofa.
I just wanna make sure that the bed opens.
Perfect.
The bed opens, that's great.
She also has the option to move the sofa back
if she needs to, but this is a perfect fit.
This side table is from Home & Fun.
I love how narrow it is.
It's a fun piece.
We've used it before, I love it.
Two drawers for Jada, we love.
This looks so good.
Okay, so Jada has this closet system.
You guys, this is her closet.
She has to get on a step stool every day,
and if I had it my way, I would have painted these
the same color as the walls,
but the landlord didn't want us to touch any of the trim
or the cabinet doors, so that's why they're still white.
I think it works, though.
She has a lot of storage in here, which is great,
but she has to climb up so high to get her clothes every day.
There's also no easy access for socks and accessories,
so I got her this piece from Article.
It's so beautiful, I love the texture.
This is gonna be so much more functional for her
for day-to-day use, and it has a drawer.
I'm also gonna add in shelves.
Okay, I'm gonna move this.
Another thing I've done in a small space
is add a dresser that doubles as a side table.
We have room for a side table for her,
but if this is your space and you need a side table
but also need more storage,
a dresser drawer situation is also a good option.
So because she needs a stepladder,
I wanted to get her one that was stylish and cool.
This one is from Home & Fun.
Love the pop of orange.
Perfect.
Okay, I'm moving on to the entryway.
I'm first changing out the boob light that was here.
Jada included a lot of these light fixtures in her inspo,
so we're adding one in here.
I also love this hit of red.
And again, just like in the living room,
I've centered the light because for some reason
they thought it would be a good idea
to just put it off-center in the corner here.
So these hooks that we use are like your best friend
if your lights are oddly placed in your apartment.
Cute.
Okay, I love that Jada has this shelf here
because it's perfect to store shoes.
So I'm just going to place her shoes.
This is so cute.
So pretty.
Love.
Jada, we love these.
Okay, this looks so good.
Looks like she has her own shoe store.
I love it.
I'm leaving this shelf empty
because I'm gonna add some sort of storage solution there
so she can put winter accessories.
She has room to grow, which is good.
She has more room to put shoes on these shelves,
but yeah, I love it.
Looks so good.
Next up in the entryway, I'm adding a full-length mirror
so Jada can look at her fits before she leaves.
This beautiful mirror's from Umbra.
I love how it sits off the wall a bit.
And then this little catch-all is also from Umbra.
So a place for Jada to put her keys, her tote bags,
just things she needs running out the door.
Love it.
Look how functional this is.
Oh, these look so ugly.
Bear.
I'm gonna add something fun.
Let me grab those.
These adorable outlet plates are from Poppy and Honeybee.
They have so many cute vines in their shop.
This is coming together.
I love it.
Okay, we're back in the living room.
Jada has a lot of books,
and I was feeling like this nook
was calling for some height.
So I'm just adding a couple of these IKEA Lack shelves,
and we're gonna display all the cute trinkets she has.
Okay, I will be putting a plant in here,
but I know that I want this pot right here.
So cute.
And these are the books we're working with,
and I think I might just stack them.
Do you know who's not a part of the 5AM Club?
Me.
Oh my God.
LOL.
Okay, I'm placing Jada's vase.
How cute is this?
On the top shelf for some height.
Jada also has a record player,
and I'm gonna put it right over here with her records.
That's cute, right?
While I'm here, I'm gonna finish off
styling the top of this unit.
Really going for some height
with this beautiful vase from HomeSense.
I'm also adding in this cute cordless light,
also from HomeSense.
Okay, these look weird together,
and I think it's because they're similar shapes.
So I'm going to put a candle here instead.
Fun pop of red and pattern.
And then I'm going to shift this down
and place this really cute light here.
That looks cozy.
Yeah, I like that.
Nice.
Jada had a lot of art like this in her inspo.
It's giving me, like, cool girl, eclectic vibes.
It's, like, nostalgic also.
Okay, as soon as I saw Jada's befores,
I knew that we had to find her a cat litter box solution,
and this is the first one that came to mind.
This one is from Good Pet Stuff,
and I'm going to let Jada fill this
with the litter of her choice,
but I love how this just blends in seamlessly
with the decor.
I'm going to turn it this way towards the window,
leaving enough room for the cat to be able to get in.
I'm actually going to move it away from the sofa a bit.
So over here.
That's awesome.
Wow, I love it.
Okay, I thrifted these stools on Facebook Marketplace.
They're the perfect height.
Let me show you.
We were actually eating lunch at this little island today.
They tuck under so nicely.
I say they, because there's two,
but for now, I'm going to keep this down,
and they'll just live right here.
Let me grab the other one.
Okay, I am putting these baskets in these cubbies.
I got these from HomeSense.
They're, like, incredible quality,
and I found all matching.
Baskets are so, so great for organizing, corralling,
kind of creating closed storage
where there's not closed storage.
I know, right?
We find cute things.
On the topic of baskets,
I'm adding this one on top of the cabinet.
For me, when I'm designing these spaces,
because they're small spaces,
whenever I have, like, a lower piece of furniture,
using that extra dead space for storage, game changer.
Gotta get smart with the storage solutions.
Okay, this is Jada's guitar.
I'm gonna display it in this corner.
If this doesn't give cool girl vibes, I don't...
This space is feeling kind of empty to me.
She does need access to her closet,
so I couldn't put any furniture here,
but she left me this little cheetah rug to use,
if we wanted, and I think it's so cute.
So it's going right here.
Okay, making the bed.
I'm so excited about this bedding.
I've linked it down below.
Like, I can't.
It's everything I love about color.
That made no sense.
It's everything I love in a pillowcase.
And we have a quilt coming.
I'm, of course, using Canadian down and feather inserts.
I say, of course, because we use them
just about every makeover.
They're so fluffy, so comfy,
and a Canadian-owned company we love.
Like, do you see that squish?
So good.
Okay, I'm finishing off the bed
with these beautiful golden yellow cushions.
How good do they look paired with these colors?
My gosh.
So good.
Oh, I love it.
Okay, I'm placing this cute,
colorful bedside table lamp here.
This is from HomeSense.
Also, please take note that I changed all the outlet covers
to match the ones in the entryway.
Don't sleep on HomeSense's lighting collection.
Finishing off the bed area with two more art prints,
starting with this one.
It's giving texture.
Okay, Jada Studio is coming along so nicely.
I'm loving the pops of color we've added today.
I'm gonna see you guys tomorrow.
I'm gonna style this space,
bring in the finishing touches,
and then it's also reveal day.
See you then.
Okay, it's reveal day.
And I woke up just feeling so excited for Jada
to see this space.
She has moved so many times in the last few years,
and to be able to have the privilege
of making her space feel cozy and grown up
and be somewhat permanent for her is just,
I don't know, it's like the best feeling.
So yeah, let's get the space styled.
Let's add some finishing touches.
I'm starting with this eight ball pillow
plucked right out from one of her inspo photos.
So we're gonna start with this.
Are we ready?
I'm placing it right between the two velvet cushions.
I'm adding in an art print above the rad.
I'm styling the sofa with cushions
and a throw blanket from HomeSense.
I'm placing two stacks of books on the coffee table.
I'm placing this fun candlestick for a little bit of height.
I'm adding a runner in the entryway.
This is washable.
And this amazing pouf.
And finally, I'm adding a bowl of brew.
Okay, it is time to bring Jada in for the reveal.
Okay, I'm just gonna lead you in.
Are you ready?
Yeah. Okay.
Before you open your eyes,
can you walk me through what your studio looks like before?
So I had sort of my bed in the kitchen almost
by the bay window,
and I tried to separate the space with the Kallax.
And then on the other side of the apartment,
I had a couch and a little coffee table.
I think proportions of things
didn't always make the most sense.
But yeah, I think it was maybe lacking a little bit of color
and also just cohesion and style.
Okay, are you ready to see your new space?
Yeah. Okay, I'm gonna count you down.
One, two, three.
Oh my gosh.
It's really beautiful, thank you.
Okay.
I love it.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome. Amazing.
It's amazing.
I didn't think I was gonna cry.
Oh my gosh.
There's just so many things to look at.
Yeah, take it in.
Yeah, this is awesome.
This is so great.
Like, look how much more storage you have.
Yeah.
This is amazing, Alexandra.
Like, seriously, like.
Oh, I'm so happy.
Happy.
I mean, this is the first space of mine
that I feel is kind of permanent.
And now having it look like this, it's just amazing.
Oh, that makes me so happy.
Yeah.
This is actually a litter box.
Amazing.
I love it.
Oh, it's so good.
So good, seriously.
Wow.
We did peel and stick tile on the backsplash.
It looks great.
Yeah, I love it.
Oh my goodness, I'm so excited.
I love it.
I'm gonna sit here, I'm gonna put my shoes on.
It's cute, right?
It's really cute, yeah.
So glad you like it.
Thank you so much, seriously.
I love it.
Oh, thanks for trusting me.
So I said yesterday, like I was,
I'm so honored to do this for you.
And I know you've moved so many times,
so this is like your more permanent space.
And it brings me like so much joy to get to do this for you.
Thank you.
Yay.
Next up on AGTV, we are making over a bedroom
in like a coastal kind of grandma style.
I'm so excited for you to see it.
If you love pattern, if you love color,
this makeover is for you.
And as always, I'll see you guys next time.
Bye.
Oops, sorry.
It's like everything's funny, like.
That took him like 10 minutes
and like 10 million jingle jangles to sit down.
Leave, leave him alone.
Okay.
