This is Namtip's life journey, starting from the first day we rescued her. As soon as she arrived, the veterinary team at the foundation gave her a health check to find out what was causing her illness. She was weak, her trunk shook, she had digestive problems, her urine was murky, and she had chronic inflammation of the eyes. The veterinary team never stopped treating her, and very slowly, she recovered.

Namtip was sleeping during the day but wouldn't sleep at night, when she would lie down and make loud calls, disturbing the other elephants while they were sleeping. It took a team of caretakers and a foster elephant mother to help readjust her behavior and guide her through this transition.

Today, Namtip is the heart of her herd, surrounded by love. Her family has grown to include more members within their circle. Her health—both physical and mental—has improved to a great degree, though she still needs time to recover fully and gain back her strength.

This is the story of one life saved: that of Namtip, a life that has deserved a second chance. Helping elephants means giving them a better place to live, and that is the chance Namtip has been given.

Thank you to all those who showed love and compassion to Namtip. We will continue with more updates from her journey.
