I've grown up my whole life riding a motorcycle so I wouldn't know what else I'd do.
I've been riding for over 30 years now and I still love it.
I think the passion stays alive when you surround yourself with younger motivated people.
What else in life is going to give you that adrenaline and also give you something to learn?
I ride bikes because what else am I going to do? My dad wanted someone to ride with an excuse to
go slow so he brought me along and then about five or six years later he couldn't keep up.
I've always believed especially growing up that just because I'm a chick doesn't mean I can't
do something physically. If a guy can do it I can do it, why not? With motocross and even enduro
just watching some of the guys do what they do or hopping a log or doing a pivot turn
and being able to actually reach the ground really frustrates me. I've seen how much
like all the other girls struggle with the simpler things because we can't always reach the ground
but we're pretty bloody determined. There's no middle ground, it's either fast or slow and
technical. Enduros, we are a different breed of people. When I'm in the bush there's no other
place I'd rather be. Enduro was always going to be my thing. Motocross is all aggression,
it's everything you got but with enduro I know you're in it for the long haul and
we've all got each other's back. It's good to be out there.
It's almost hard having a conversation with someone who doesn't ride because they,
I don't know, when you say oh I ride they think I'm talking about horses or they think you just
sit on your bike and twist the throttle. They have no idea what goes into it and how much it
consumes your life. If they don't have bikes in their life it's kind of hard to talk to them.
If I'm meeting someone new it's kind of not the first thing I say that's for sure. It's a small
talk topic, oh are you into bikes? You meet someone new that is into bikes and it's like
you just chew each other's ear off the whole time. I like that there's no bullshit on bikes.
They bring people's traits to the surface really quickly so the friends you make riding are
usually friends for life. It doesn't matter if you're first or if you're last. I reckon I'm just
like all the other girls out there. We're pretty stubborn. We've got something to prove like
you know it might be a guy's sport but we can do it too. Thanks for watching guys. Don't forget
to subscribe to my channel Aremen1. Like and share the video with all your mates.
As you can see we've got a new player in the game Casey Crisp. I want to officially
welcome her to Motology Films. We've got plenty of action this year. Stay tuned.
