Off-duty officer beaten and robbed; police search for stolen firearm

An off-duty police officer was beaten and robbed during a fight late Thursday night in North Philadelphia, and authorities are searching for the officer's stolen firearm.

The incident occurred outside a Chinese restaurant and beer store at 10th and Brown streets, according to police.

Surveillance video obtained by Action News showed an ambulance responding to the area shortly after midnight as officers converged on the scene.
