Artist Yuri Dmitrievich Vasendin was born in Arkhangelsk in 1958. He graduated from art school in 1975 and worked as an artist at a village community center. During work hours, he designed posters for the club, and in his free time, he painted for his own pleasure. By the late 1980s, this artist from the northern village of Maimaksa was known not only in Russia but far beyond its borders. Yuri Vasendin's canvases are simply captivating. Such power and quiet beauty of nature, the spicy scent of wet forest and rotten needles. And the forest sun makes you simply want to stroll through these emerald forest glades.
